Why join Windscale Rifle Club CIC?
Windscale Rifle Club CIC has been a cornerstone for shooting sports for over 60 years. Your membership directly supports the continuation of our legacy and helps us maintain a thriving community. We offer access to a dedicated 25m range and opportunities to shoot at longer ranges at Catterick on the MoD Ranges. All applicants receive comprehensive training following the NRA (National Rifle Association) safe shooters system, ensuring a safe and responsible environment for everyone.

Our membership options
We offer two primary membership types: Probationary and Full membership. The Probationary membership is your first step into the club, providing structured training and an introduction to our community. Upon successful completion of your probationary period, you can advance to Full membership, granting you full access to all club facilities and activities.
How to become a member
The journey to becoming a full member begins with a 12-week probationary period. During this time, you'll visit the club once a week and receive dedicated one-to-one tuition from an experienced full member or a certified club instructor. This period ensures you are fully familiar with our safety protocols and shooting practices. After successfully completing your probationary training and a safety assessment, your application for full membership will be proposed at the next committee meeting. To start, simply complete the attached membership form and arrange your initial visit to the club.
Windscale Rifle Club CIC are affiliated to SASRA (Sellafield Area Sports and Recreational Association). The club has been affiliated to SASRA for over 40 years. All members of the club must become a member of SASRA. A copy of their membership form is attached on this webpage by clicking the button below.

SASRA does have two social clubs which is the Falcon based in Egremont and Windscale based in Seascale.
